To look at the world from a familiar perspective and acquire the ability to play an active role in the international community

Students learn about various cultures and social issues around the world through experiences abroad and in Japan. Practical language skills for cross-cultural communication are also improved. Research subjects are vast, ranging from history and religion, economics and business, food culture, artistic culture, and pop culture such as fashion, music, and movies. By conducting regional studies and cultural comparisons based on your interests, you can deepen your understanding of the current situation and issues in the international community with a real sense of reality. Students will develop a global perspective and flexible thinking skills to understand different cultures, acquire the ability to face global issues, and acquire the ability to live as oneself in any country or region.

Features of Global Culture Course

Gain real-life language skills through study abroad experiences

From the first year, English language skills are developed in stages. Students can also study Korean, Chinese, French, and Spanish as a second language. In the fieldwork program, students are required to study abroad in the region they plan to visit. Students steadily hone their language skills for use in the field. Students continue to study English after their study abroad, aiming for a TOEIC score of 700 by the time of graduation. Students can further improve their language skills by taking advantage of out-of-class programs such as events in cooperation with partner schools abroad and courses to raise TOEIC scores.

What You Will Learn

  • Ability to see things from a global perspective
  • Ability to propose a society in which diverse people can live together
  • Ability to accept different cultures and create new values

Fieldwork Programs

By staying in various parts of the world for an extended period of time and communicating with a diverse range of people, students deepen their understanding of different cultures. By living in local communities, we examine the issues facing not only Japan but also the world in more concrete terms. We will explore ways to overcome language and cultural differences and live in affluence through our experiences in the local communities.
  • Experience and deepen understanding of different cultures

Visit a country of interest and experience a different culture, including differences in food, housing, lifestyle, and communication. Through the multifaceted perspectives that can only be obtained locally, students will gain a new sense of values.

  • Research international issues
